Our Mission
PakCare's mission is to make basic healthcare and medication knowledge simple, understandable, and accessible to everyone, especially individuals and families from underserved or underprivileged backgrounds.
Why PakCare?
Many people struggle to find reliable health information that is easy to understand. PakCare was created to bridge that gap by providing clear, trustworthy, and easy-to-read educational resources about common diseases, medications, and healthy lifestyle habits.
PakCare also aims to make healthcare information more accessible for Urdu-speaking individuals and families. There are very few health resources that are simple to navigate and available in Urdu, making it difficult for many people who are not fluent in other languages to learn about common medical conditions, medications, and healthy lifestyle habits. By offering information in both English and Urdu, PakCare hopes to make basic healthcare knowledge easier to understand and more accessible for everyone.
Meet the Creator
Hello and Salaam! First of all, thank you so much for visiting PakCare. If you've made it all the way to the About page, here's a little about me—the person behind this website!
My name is Ayesha Aftab, and I am a student at the University of Connecticut pursuing the pre-med track. Throughout my experiences, I have seen how language barriers can make it difficult for many individuals and families to understand basic healthcare information, medications, and healthy lifestyle practices. Wanting to make a positive impact, I decided to use my Urdu Biliteracy Certification for a meaningful purpose by creating PakCare—a resource that makes reliable health information easier to understand and more accessible for Urdu-speaking individuals and families, while also helping anyone looking for simple, easy-to-read health education.
Outside of PakCare, I am involved in several nonprofit organizations because I genuinely enjoy serving my community and helping others. Bringing a smile to someone's face has become one of my greatest passions. In my free time, I enjoy baking, painting, crocheting, and trying new activities.
PakCare is a project that I hope will continue to grow and help more people over time, and I am always open to suggestions, ideas, and feedback. If you have any recommendations or would simply like to connect, please feel free to reach out!
